استمع أحمد عيسى وزير السياحة والآثار، واللواء هشام آمنة، وزير التنمية المحلية، إلى شرح مفصل لخدمة ذوي الاحتياجات الخاصة حول أعمال الترميم والتطوير التي تمت بمزار شجرة مريم العذراء في حي المطرية.
إتاحة الموقع للسياحة الميسرة من ذوي الاحتياجات الخاصة
وشملت أعمال التطوير توفير مظلات ومقاعد للزائرين، بما يتفق مع الجو العام للمنطقة، بالإضافة إلى وضع لوحات إرشادية وتعريفية للمكان، وكذلك إتاحة الموقع للسياحة الميسرة من ذوي الاحتياجات الخاصة
تم إعداد مطويات باللغتين العربية والإنجليزية بطريقة برايل، وتوفير نظام تأمين من خلال تركيب بوابات إلكترونية وكاميرات مراقبة، ونظام حديث للإضاءة لإنارة المنطقة ليلا وإظهار أماكن الجمال بها، بالإضافة إلى رفع كفاءة الشوارع المؤدية للشجرة.
وخلال الزيارة، تم كذلك عرض فيلم تسجيلي قصير عن مسار رحلة العائلة المقدسة.
كان أحمد عيسي، وزير السياحة والآثار، واللواء هشام آمنة، وزير التنمية المحلية، واللواء خالد عبد العال محافظ القاهرة، قد افتتحوا أعمال تطوير مزار شجرة السيدة العذراء مريم، إحدى نقاط مسار رحلة العائلة المقدسة، وذلك بعد الانتهاء من مشروع الترميم وتطوير المنطقة المحيطة بها.
ويأتي في إطار مشروع إحياء مسار رحلة العائلة المقدسة وتطوير ورفع كفاءة الخدمات السياحية المقدمة للزائرين من المصريين والسائحين والمنطقة المحيطة بها.
